Description

Checks basic valgrind functionality by running a program with and without memory leaks, ensuring expected results from valgrind.

Pre Conditions

  1. Ensure Rootfs is remounted as read/write.
    2. $ sudo mount -o remount,rw /
  2. Install dependencies
    3. $ sudo apt install bash apertis-tests
  3. Restart the system to restore the filesystem state to read-only before running the test.
    4. $ sudo reboot
  4. Clone the tests repository from another computer (Note that the branch being tested may change depending on the release, please make sure to clone the correct branch for the release in question):
    5. $ git clone --branch apertis/v2024 https://gitlab.apertis.org/pkg/apertis-tests.git
  5. Copy the test directory apertis-tests to the target device:
    6. $ DUT_IP=<device-ip>
    $ scp -r apertis-tests user@$DUT_IP:
  6. Log into the target device:
    7. $ ssh user@$DUT_IP

Execution Steps

  1. Enter test directory:
    2. $ cd apertis-tests
  2. Execute the following command:
    3. $ common/run-test-in-systemd --basename --user=user -- sdk/automated/test-valgrind.sh

Expected

The test script will output a line with the test ID and the status of the test (PASSED or FAILED). An example output is:
